they can't be aquired from the blessings of balthazar quest anymore, so where can they be aquired? are they in a new place in ascalon, or not in pre-searing ascalon at all anymore?

I'm thinking that there are now 3 trainers for each class (other than the one you meet outside of Ascalon City). I've found all of them for Warrior (not too hard) and Ranger, and i know where they all are for the necro, but none of the others. Either way you can always buy them in post-searing from the skill trainer.

I acquired those skills from the Blessings of Balthazar or the second quest that Mehnlo gives you, however, it seemed to be a bit of a glitch because he wouldn't give them to me at first. I had to talk to him again or abandon the quest and reacquire it before those skills would show up. I believe it had something to do with the fact that my skill bar was full at the time and there being some sort of bug with the "in-line skill slot replacement" system they have where you can swap in newly unlocked skills for old ones when you earn new skills. I've heard it happening to a few people with the Necromancer's Novice quest, too.

And, Chatadog, you're wrong. There have always been three Warrior and Ranger trainers (at least, there have been for a while), Necros, too, but there are only two Elementalist and Mesmer Traienrs. And Monks have two as well, it's just you can double dip at Mehnlo for two sets of skills. As you say, though, any skills you miss in Pre-Searing can be purchased afterwards. Although that takes gold and skill points, so it's an expensive proposition.

i think i figured it out: activate the quest, then talk to mehnlo again and ask him about it, then he gives the skills. sucks i had to start over for them though.

Rex,

I knew that the ranger/warrior/necro trainers were there from the previous betas. I just didn't know with this glitch for brother maeho (sp?) if they did the same for monk and others. Oh well i'm gonna be a healing monk anyway.

Just a quick correction for the number of necro Trainers in Pre-Searing Ascalon. There are FOUR necro trainers in Pre-Ascalon. The 4th one which is quite a bitch to find is Oberan the Necromancer inside of the catacombs area where the quest for the "Moa Bird" is found.

As for the skills Symbol of Wrath and Retribution, my W/Mo received it from Brother Mhenlo in the quest Blessings for Balthazar also.

HybridLogic: You have to be close to the enemies when you use it and it only lasts for 5 seconds. Once you cast it, you remain in that stance until it dismisses.

No, there are three. Necromancer Munne - in the Catacombs, Kasha Blackblood - in Green Hills near the portal to Lakeside, and Oberan the Reviled - deep in the Catacombs on the path just past the one Munne leads you on. There's a forth NPC that will give you Necromancer skills, Verata the Necromancer, but only if you're a primary Necromancer. And since you'll have to encounter him before you can move on, he's not someone to search out, he's part of the main plotline, and, thus, not an optional trainer whatsoever.

Symbol of Wrath is not a stance. Nor do you have to remain in it or in the area it affects in the least. You cast it and anyone in the area takes damage once a second for the next 5 seconds. To see if it's working or not, head to a mission or an EA, find a large pack of monsters, aggro them, let them all surround you, and then use Symbol of Wrath, if you see a lot of damage numbers popping up, that's Symbol of Wrath (you'll also notice a graphic effect on the enemy's feet), there's no special notification about where your damage comes from, after all, only when something hits you.
